Talking 13 pounds in the first week...YEAH!

I can't believe it...I am soo happy. Thank you all for the well wishes. I love all of you and am so happy I can shar emy successes with you. Craig, this is the best place on earth to come to...thank you! I am looking forward to a wonderful adventure from here on out.
I would like some suggesstions on making it through a family dinner on Easter. I will be 2 days out from starting the 'soft & moist' diet but technically still on 'full liquids'. Any thoughts here?
Again, thank you all, You all are amazing!

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

WooHoo Congrats. Many many more losses to come!!

Puddings should be good.
Well, it could be one of two things, either, you won't feel like eating at all, and things on the table may even make you gag, or, you'll feel tempted by everything on the table, and resent that you can't eat 'em. Take things easy, and since you are only a couple of weeks out at this point, if things get too hard, I don't think it will be impolite at all if you left the table and went to rest in another room.
Further out, when you can eat more, Don't be a Freakin' Turkey and the 3 Bite Rule Reminder should help you. There also was a holiday eating thread around Nov-Dec last year, but it'll have to be dug up.

(((((((HUGS)))))) May your journey go well.

Default Great News!

That is amazing. When I left the hospital 6 days after surgery, I was down 11.2 pounds. You beat me colo! lol I am soo happy for you, knowing you are on cloud nine from all of this.
Well, as far as Easter goes, it is over now, and I am sure that you did just fine. I was lucky actually, with the holidays, when I had mine. The first real holiday after my surgery was Thanksgiving. I had to work that day, but had it the next day, and did a wonderful job, and controlling my urges. I had basically, a taste of everything on the table. Boy, was that a weird feeling, knowing how much I was taking on my lunch plate, verses how much, and many times I would have gone back for more in the past. I was darn proud of myself at the end of the meal. Keep pluggin along there, colo. I know that you will be a complete success story. Can't wait to hear your update.

Easter was no problem at all. My sister made a 2 oz dish for me with a very small sweet potato and I did have 1/2 of a deviled egg. Now its back to reality. Thank you all for the suggestions.
