Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Thanks for all your kind wishes and thoughts but im afraid they are wasted for now. My operation was cancelled today. I had to wait three hours for a decision about the availability of an ICU bed. I even got my name tags and surgical stockings on! Then the surgeon came and told me that none was to be had. He also told me that he is relocating to a new hospital because of this recurring problem. He invited me to come back tomorrow but told me that he would not be around for the post op care. He also said that I could wait til his replacement comes (about 3 weeks) but he wouldnt know my case and would be seeing me blind. I elected to go with him to the new hospital which is in Central London even though he will not be available until August. Another 6 weeks! Oh well, Im glad if somebody got to use that bed who was in more need than I. Im disappointed but hey, if that was all I had to worry about eh? Bill |
