The first post is more than a year old. We didn't--and don't yet--have a forum specific for vertical sleeve gastroplasty (VSG) and duodenal switch (DS) which is why this allowed this thread for those who want to check into the specific types of surgery.
VSG and DS are still small in numbers, though the number of VSG is growing, and we have a few members who've had VSG.
Every board is different and people are different, so it's good to have choices, and it's good to be able to take part in a few places if you want to do so.
After all, this is the section to introduce other WLS sites that are honest and helpful.

thats cool. i saw the first one was old but since the new person commented i figured i would say i thought the approach was rude on the first person's part (eventhough its an old thread) 
sure some of us have loyalties and maybe cant find EVERYTHING we want here. but its not the recruiting that i take offense to; its HOW its done.
