Wow, those were great articles. I've been separated for 4 yrs now, but just never got the "divorce" yet. He's in Mexico, so really...it's like we are. Anyway, I'm sure ALL of us can relate to some of the things that were wrote in both articles. And of course, it REALLY hit home with me because I've ALWAYS settled for less.....for the sake of not being alone. But things DO change with WLS, and the relationships that are not solid before, may be harmed after. But....if they are strong, then I truly believe it can only make them stronger because of us regaining our self confidence, energy, depression lifted..gosh the list goes on and on and on.

Oh, no problem Christy, I'm an open book  To my knowledge, yes, I will be legally divorced. But, I just haven't checked too much into it. For one, I don't have the money to hire a laywer. For two, I'm sure it's alot more detailed and probably more expensive (cuz that's just my luck!) than a normal divorce. Plus he's my daughters father. One day I'll get one. It's just never seemed too important. He wasn't here legally anyway. And I did start the citizen process a number of years ago, but when they finally responded (almost 2 yrs later) he was back in Mexico. Then he tried to come back (illegally of course) but got caught. And "rumor" has it that when that happens, that penalizes them for like 10 yrs. I dunno....I just know he won't be coming back over here soon lol. He doesn't have the money to do it illegally, and they won't allow him to do it legally. Honestly, I wish I could get the divorce without him even knowing about it. Because I believe he would contest it. I've heard that I can, I just have to list something in the paper for "x" amount of days/weeks in the last city he resided in. Who knows.....I'll cross that bridge when I get to it!!! lol
