Default Weight Loss Forum- Sister site so to speak!

Hello from another weight loss forum,

I wanted to start off by saying that I love this site and it's a great place for anyone looking into, or who has already had obesity surgery. I have done a decent amount of browsing here as I enjoy seeing weight loss progress from weight loss surgery.

Your Administrator, Michael suggested I introduce the Weight Loss Forum that I help admin. It's completely different from this site in that it focuses moreso on weight loss through diet and exercise. I do have some articles and statistics on Obesity Surgery, but most of our information is general obesity help type information (exercise and eating habit changes). We also have over 1000 healthy recipes and over 1000 studies on obesity as well.

I wish you all the best on your weight loss journeys, and will continue to browse, and maybe say hello once in a while.

You are all very lucky to have Michael as your admin, he is great at what he does!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Thank you Kenyar! Weight loss surgery is a great option to lose weight, and is the best option for many. You look fantastic in your before and after pictures considering how recently you had your surgery. Best of luck to you!

Hello Lisa,

Yes there is a small obesity surgery section on the site but it's more statistics and articles relating to obesity surgery than anything. Thank you for the kind welcome. Congratulations to you too for getting so close to your weight loss goals!

Hi Verbinsky

I certainly enjoy helping you, and you have some great resources on your site.

It is an interesting thing - having links to other related websites. But I have the flavor that there is nothing wrong with RenewedReflections or any website for that matter, being a resource to other peoples websites. We need other related websites to do the same, and so those that help each other outrank those that don't "share the love".

Michael,
I can't agree more. I've checked out lots of sites and I personally like this one best because it has a "small town" feel to it. Obesity Help it too large a city for a country bumpkin like me. But I still like the links to the other sites so I can get information.

Verbinsky,
I'm going to add your site to my favorites right now, I'm always ont eh lookout for healthy recipies and good info.

Welcome to the board, thank you for joining us, and thank you for sharing.

It is very very important that those looking into the surgery do a lot of research on all the aspects of WLS, as it is a life changing surgery in more ways than one. You need to be aware of EVERYTHING and make your choice wisely.
Besides, though the surgery facilitates weight loss for the first 12-24 months after the surgery, beyond that, it is the choice of food, and the adherance to exercise is vital for the optimum effect of this surgery.
We've been able to amass a lot of info in the short time the board has been in being, but we are still short of a lot of stuff. Sharing each other's resources helps in this area, so the pleasure is mutual.

I hope we can share a lot of wisdom for the sake of everyone who is on this journey in search of health and self.
