You might enjoy reading this website - he is a lap band specialist and has all kinds of information on it including some videos and a couple of books you can get which are excellent! (Dr Terry Simpson, a WLS surgeon for 30 years now!) Weight loss doctor - Lap-band surgery seminar - Bariatric surgeon in Phoenix Arizona (AZ)
I became very impressed with him when I went to one of his seminars and several nurses who had taken care of his patients, were signing up for WLS!

Hi, I'm a lap bander as well, my surgery is scheduled for April 22, 2009. I've completed 5 months of pre surgery consultations which is required by my ins. and recommended by my Dr. This is my first post on RR and plan on visiting often. Thanks to those of you who share your experiences.

Hi all! I am planning LapBand very soon. Have finished the 6 mo. preliminary period that is required by my insurance. I go on the 15th to my last Nutritionist visit and then I will be planning my surgery. I am very excited and scared at the same time. I need all your words of wisdom and encouragment. I know this is a huge step and the start of a new way of life. I am ready. I sick and tired of being sick and tired!! I wanna live life !!!
