PORTLAND, Ore. -- A Portland police officer was fired for lying about weight loss surgery, according to an Oregonian report. The article in the Oregonian said that Police Chief Rosie Sizer fired Nelson, 38, on Monday for misleading other officers about her medical condition when an employee assistance staffer asked her about it over the phone.
