Just wanted to give info from the personal viewpoint of a "sleever".
There is no "Y" involved in the sleeve procedure so no possibility of blockage. This is one of the reasons I chose the sleeve because all the functions remain the same; there is no disconnection or reconnection involved. The only thing that changes is the size of your stomach. I had the procedure 5 weeks ago and am transitioning back onto regular food. While I don't experience "dumping", not all foods work well and will "return to sender" if the wrong food is chosen or if 1 bite too many is taken. I definately have a "full spot" and it is generally after 6-10 bites. I have to work pretty hard to get in the protein and/or water. I was using crystal lite but had a hard time getting the required volume down - just changed to propel fitness water, which is clear and feels more like water and the taste is less profound. I am finally able to feel like I am getting close to the required volume. As for the choice I made, I would do it again, just the same way - believe me, even though I don't dump, the misery I endure if I eat too much is plenty of a downside for me to stay on track. I call it rock-hard heartburn - it feels like you have swallowed a rock and it is sitting in your throat just between your clavicle bones - and you get to sit there until it either goes down or comes back up. So whatever surgery you choose, there are changes to be made and as the doc says, it is a tool not a magical procedure - but I am happy with my sleeve and trying to figure out what to do with all my spare time - the time I used to spend eating! Good luck to you all.
