Eating Walnuts With High-fat Meals Helps To Protect Arteries Against Short-term Damage (Science Daily)

New research shows that consuming a handful of raw walnuts along with meals high in saturated fat appears to limit the ability of the harmful fat to damage arteries. Adding olive oil, however, does not provide the same type of vascular protection. NUTS have so many good effects.
AND i tend to use them as a post
op snack!

I do love trailmix with lots of nuts, but the lasttime I tried to eat it.. I got sick... I think the dried fruit swelled up, I should have known better but wow the nuts and almonds and walnuts were delish.....Peggy

HEY peggy...
I must add here that when i was in my rapid weight loss months
of the journey if i saw my scale slowing down slightly if i ate
straberries and nuts in my days it always got the scale moveing for
me again. I had read that its good for plataues...so used it. WOULD
my body have done this withoiut the nuts and strawberries i truly
dont know.
BUT should you hit a little bump in the road try the combination and
i bet it will work well!!!

thanks Lisa.. i do like strawberries and will add the nuts.... I do like my smoothies with strawberries and will add the nuts on top.....Peggy
