|  Hanover Area wins state grant to combat childhood obesity (Times Leader)

Hanover Area Jr/Sr High was one of 40 schools statewide - and the only one in Luzerne County - to win a $5,000 "Activity grant" from the state Department of Health. The school will get another $10,000 from Blue Cross of Northeast Pennsylvania. The money is to be used for physical activity programs to combat childhood obesity.
