Star Jones to open up about weight loss (MSNBC)

Ever since her dramatic weight loss, Star Jones Reynolds has refused to confirm or deny that she had gastric bypass surgery. Now Reynolds says she's written a story for Glamour magazine that will address speculation about her slimmed-down physique.

well its about time she fesses up to how she lost so much and so fast!

and waited for someone to make the right
offer for her true storey!

I was just saying the same thing. Why couldn't she be honest in the first place. I have choosen not to tell people in my family only because they are so negative things that doesn't concern them but once it's all said and done I am telling the world.

i agree with both of you. being that the world KNEW already she's kind of making herslef look stupid or desperate for money telling the story now...LOL!

...and i only told my sister. everyone else will find out at the next family gathering which is in the fall i believe. i didnt want to hear theor mouths LOL!

I cant believe alot of people still worry about , who knows they had WLS or not ...Who cares if people know ? Im having this surgery done because I want to live!!! My Doctor told me if I dont have this surgery , hes scared hes going to lose me !( Death , in other words ) Just show me where the OR is darlin because Im not leaving !! So needless to say if somebody knows Im going to have WLS ,so be it ,they know. If they dont agree or have a problem with it....I dont really care !!! Let Star Jones play her Hollywood games...Shes famous , shes making big money...do you really think she cares if you approve or not ?

i didnt tell people pre op cause i didnt want to here the negative and the horror stories.
CUASE now im a postive storey and i dont mind telling people
and never hold back what i have done to loose my weight and
get healthy

I don't tell people because of the negative things they have to say about it and what they their issues are with it. If you want to tell everyone that is fine with you but as for me they will know after it is all said and done.

As far as Star Jones is concerned, if she had it done so be it and I understand her not wanting to say it before hand but to continue this lie for years is just crazy to me. I guess it did matter to her whether we approved or not due to kept it to herself all this time. It's not about how famous you are or how much money you have, it's about your health. Maybe her telling her story before could have help a lot of people with making the decision to have the surgery. I know for a fact I was on the fence about it for a very long time, mainly because I have heard so many negative stories about it and I did not know of anyone personally who had had the surgery.
