Hmmm. Well, diligence is a good thing. And there are certainly a lot of issues affecting why we've had such a battle with the bulge. I dont know that fussing at thin people will help any, though. It seems to me that its more about money than a desire to make people larger. Since I tend to be frugal, I admit is has been a major challenge for me to spend $3-$7 on protein bars when Little Debbie swiss rolls are only $1.09 a box. Obviously, it's a change of how we think and how we take care of ourselves. It is tough now to buy this "junk food" for my family - who are basically normal size - coz I see the negative effects it had on me. I hardly ever go to fast food restaurants anymore because there's basically nothing there for me - dont do well with chicken, salt and dont like salads. I dont even go out for breakfast anymore because I dont like eggs and am staying away from carbs and fat. Now, that I think about it, WLS has been a HUGE lifestyle change for me, and def for the better - and my lab results are shining evidence of the health benefits. I guess the money I save not grabbing a quick burger on the run is better spent on my protein bars I keep in my purse for just such emergencies.
