Just thought I would stop by and say hi as I haven't heard from you in a while. I'm doing good even with my plateau LOL...How have you been?

Hi,
I went to get the results of my sleep study today.It turns out I do have sleep apnea, but it's mild.
The Dr said he didn't think I need a c-pap machine but because I'm having surgery in the US that they might require it before they do the surgery.
I guess I'll know better when I go see the surgeon.
They can book that appt after they receive my sleep study report which will be faxed by this Fri to the hospital in the states.
So hopefully my surgery will be SOON!!
I CAN"T WAIT!!!

I'm doing good.
I find out the results of my sleep study tomorrow.
After I get them then they can book my appt to see the surgeon plus I have a 4hr class on the 30th
then I'll find out my surgery date.
I'm really hoping that it's early July...I don't want to be fat all summer!
I'll let you know how I make out tomorrow.

Sorry to hear your going through a rough time right now.

Yes I had my sleep study last night.....I didn't sleep very much though
I had a really hard time washing that paste (or whatever it is) out of my hair
They said the Dr that ordered the test will have to give me the results since no Dr's were at the sleep clinic
I see the Dr that ordered the test on the 17 of June but I e-mailed the phone number of the sleep clinic to the lady at Henry Ford Hospital
maybe she can get the results before I go see her on the 27 of this month.
So Aug for your surgery YEAH!!
It will be here before you know it.
Take care...don't get yourself stressed out too much that won't be good for your healing after surgery.

Ya, I guess they do all this testing to be prepared they don't want any unexpected surprises when I'm on the table.
I guess this is for my own safety.Yes I'm having the surgery at Henry Ford Hospital it's a really big hospital and they have a floor just for bariatric patients.I think I'll be in good hands there.

I kept her home from school today(she's 16) I'm afraid to tell the school she's sick because they'll think it's the swine flu
Seems like that's all they can talk about right now.
Well anyway....do you have a surgery date yet? I know you said Aug but did they tell you when in Aug?
I'm going for a sleep study on Tuesday night,they said it take 4-6weeks for the results.
Why so long??? Seems a little slow if you ask me.
Oh well the Dr said it can take up to 8 weeks to get in for a sleep study and he managed to get me in next week because he told them I'm going for surgery and I need this done ASAP.
I'm going to the states on the 27th I have to see 3 different people that day so I can be cleared for surgery.
I don't get to see the surgeon until I have a surgery date.I guess I have to take a 4 hr class too.I'm not sure what for,maybe how to eat post-op?
