I'm sorry it's been awhile. I wish I was better but I can keep much done and I am always thirsty. Just cant get enough water only to throw it up. Certain foods cause me to loose it and my protein is down. I'm not a happy camper. There's a lot happening. What's the latest for you? How are you feeling?

AnnMarie, thanks so much for asking how I am doing. I am happy to be home. I am still weak, sore, swollen,,but otherwise doing well. I am getting out and walking and working on getting my fluids in. how are you doing/

WooHoo A week home no hospital stays. Going one day at a time. Today eggs sunny side up worked wonders for me, but then I tried eatting a baby carrot and that killed my afternoon :-( Oh this is a trial and error process.

I sure have learned a lot within the last month. You know I studied and researched GB surggery, interviewing several facilities, doctors and nurses as well as those who are Baribuddies before the surgery (5yrs). Here I am my third hospial stay, this time it was because an obstruction was crezted during the healing process. 6 more days inthe hospital..yuk My whole point is no matter what kind of prep you do pripor to having surgery (physical, exercise. Education, ect) you wontknow

Wow, 2 weeks. That is not a lot of time. I spent 6 days in the hospital the 1st time and then 2 1/2 a week ago because of infection. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Everyone's experience is different but please make a back up plan for needing extra time. I couldnt pick up anything heavier then a gal of milk... PREPARE and be ready for anything. I wish you the best this next week.

Thanks so much, AnnMarie. I really appreciate it. how are you feeling? My biggest concern is that i have 2 weeks off of work for the surgery, hoping i will not need more. I also have three kids including a 7 month old that it will be hard to to pick her up too much. I will deal.
