Ms Vickie I had my gallbladder removed back when I had my VBG so it's not that it's on the left side and it usually starts at my waist I to the back and to the front at my waist. I am releaved to hear you say it could be gas. It comes and goes about 3 times a day. But only last about 20 minutes. I would think if it were something more serious it would not go away thanks you so much I have learned so much from you and this board that is where I get all my info that helps me so much.
Yes honey it can do that cause that much pain. I have to ask this do you still your gall bladder? That also can cause pain but it shouldnt cause it all the time like a constant pain. Gas pain can be severe. Unlike the regular you felt before surgery for sure. Mine hurt me so bad I begged my husband to hold me and I never ever asked him to hold me before LOL im a tough lady and it hurt me so bad up into my shoulder and I would have never thought it was gas pain. You saying its your right side brings up the idea it might be a gallbladder problem also. If its under your rib then radiates up your back and if you still have one then yes. I do hope you can get public assistance honey there is no shame in that. You certinaly have had enough medical issues to warrant it and need help. I dont blame you for returning to the same surgeon for that reason and losing weight will make your gallbladder flare up and warrant removal if that is the problem.
Ms Vickie. It's me Exhortergirl. I think it was you that answered a post I had about my left side and back hurting around the waist you said it sounded like gas to you. Well it hurts me everyday two or three times a day. I have been taking gas x and I try to walk but the pain is really bad. I don't have a pcp trying to apply for public assistance and thT is why I keep goingback to the surgeon cause I am concerned it might be more than gas. Is there something from the surgery that could becausing this or does gas hurt that bad in the upper part of the body ?
