Things are going good, I had my first post-op. visit and the surgeon said everything looks good.
I'm starting stage 2 eating tomorrow... Cream soups, yogert, twice baked beans, pudding, eggs, otmeal and fat free cheese.
I am still unable to sleep on my stomach due to pain where the drain was taken out but other than that all is well. You were right the weight is coming off fast, I lost 17 pounds since surgery!!!
Thanks for all your advice so far, it's been on the money, I'll talk to you soon
I know how the not sleeping goes!!! I could not get comfortable there, slept in the chair the entire time!!! After the first few hours there in the room I never got back into the bed the entire time I was there!! Too hot, uncomfortable, etc..... Glad to here things are getting better for you. The constipation thing is awful!! I was taking stool softners the first few months after the surgery and they sure helped. Good luck, make sure to eat and drink, and keep me updated as to how you are.
What a relief, I feel better Knowing I am on the last steps of pre-surgery.
Only few more tests to go. Now I can take a breather from all the things you have to do before you get a surgery date. I am staying on the diet and exercising as per my surgeons instructions. I am going to start looking into the brands and prices of vitamins and protein shake mixes I will need after surgery.
If any one as any advice I would be really interested.
Thank You so much, I'm happy for you, you are a powerful example to all of us, I am starting to look into what I will be using for Vitamins and protiein supplements,
Any Ideas? I know I don't even have a surgery date( hopefully this Thursday?) but I dont want to wait until the last minute.
Will do whatever I can to help you along the way. It has definately been a long, hard journey----but so well worth it!!! I have only 35 lbs to go to get where I want to be. Doctor says I only have 20 to go, but I figured if I have come this far, I wanna be where I will be happy. If you have any questions, concerns, etc feel free to ask. Will help you out as much as I can. And feel free to ask any questions--if I am able to answer, I will.
