Karen, IRBBB is just a glitch in the ECG. You can be born with it. Of course, the drs will run a battery of tests just to make sure your heart function is okay, because these kind of glitches can appear after a small myocardial infarction where the affected area cuts across the route the electric signals to conctract heart muscles go through. So they need to make sure--you are about to have major surgery. If the ECG was fine before, and then showed IRBBB this time, then some incident could have taken place between that time and now. But, many people have it from the beginning, so if nothing comes up, don't worry.

Everything went well...met with Dr Graber and his staff...nice people! I just need an ekg, blood work and physical...surgery is looking like august...can't wait...just have to drop some pounds now : )
