I have been stalled between 203 and 206 since I finished my 5-day pouch reset on January 25. I know I shouldn't be discouraged, but it is getting difficult not to.
I understand plateaus, but if it's calories in -> calories out, the scale should be moving!
And going from sedentary lifestyle to exercising three times a day for 30 minutes a day should be doing something to my metabolism!

Having been "in the fish motel" for dragging my feet at the change of seasons, I feel for you. You are in my prayers.
God called me to do a jail ministry some years back, and given my background, I simply did not want to do it. I was afraid to hear that clanging of steel doors, to smell the smells of jail, and to hear the constant rabble that go along with jails.
My husband and I had a teen and pre-teen ministry, and I carried the message into battered women's...

Last Friday, I went back to my WLS support group for the first time in about three -- maybe four -- years.
When I made the commitment to get back to basics, I told my husband that I would be returning to the group every month. He knew that one of the excuses I had for dropping out before is the fact that it's 80 miles away in Bangor.
So when...

If I had to put my finger on just when I "fell off the wagon," I guess I would say it was in August, 2007. That was about 8 months after my surgery, which in itself would have been a turning point. But there was more.
My grown daughter was about to go through what promised to be a nasty divorce, and child custody battle. She was in the Army, stationed at Ft. Bragg in North Carolina. My son-in-law, who had been injured and discharged, had taken the kids to his mother's house...

You know, I'm entirely baffled by this item, and I wonder if I'm the only one!
I recently put my "Before and During" pictures up on Facebook. Someone had asked me about it, and I am a big proponent of remembering EXACTLY where I was and why I took the steps I did, so I posted it.

The next day, I went in to have my nails done, and my manicurist told me, "You know, I really don't remember...
