hi there sorry for delay, have only started to catch up with things now, was in hospital for my birthday, but my op went well , now the proud owner of a roux en y bypass, which is workiing a treat for me, now able to eat more of a variety of things than i could with the band, which was in place for about 11 years, and my reflux has completely gone. touch wood i have none of the side effects other people have seemed to get, so dietian and nurtion clinic last week and they were delighted with me,i am seeminly a unusuall speciem (his words not mine)that it is normal for a band patient after 10 years to have lost 20% of there starting weight, i have lost 48%. will have to take supplements from now on , but that i can live with!!!hope things are going well with you. audz
