Can it really happen that fast??? That would be so great!

I hear ya.I just want to get it over with also.I do have heavy snoring that's why I have to be set up for a sleep study(that's a sign of sleep apnea). I see the Dr that will set me up for that on May 5.I go for a stress test on Apr 29 & to 3 appts in Warren MI on May 27 that's where I'm having surgery.I hope they can give me a surgery date then maybe for early June (I HOPE!!).I already had a ECG test and a pulmonary test done last week.

You need a sleep study done to see if you have sleep apnea (you stop breathing while you sleep).
Most overweight people have it and don't even know they do until they
get tested.It can be very dangerous some stop breathing 90 times or more in an hour and don't even know it.
They don't want any unexpected surprizes while your waking up from surgery.
When you have sleep apnea you'll make the alarms go off all the time (when you stop breathing) when the surgery is done and your waking up.
You'll need to bring your cpap machine (sleep apnea machine) with you if they find out you do have it,and they will put you on it right after surgery while your still asleep so you can breathe better.
Even if they find out that you do have it,it usually clears up after you lose some weight than you can be taken off it.
I guess it's better to be safe then sorry.

The sooner you can get the preop done the sooner you can get surgery.

I just called the hospital in NY and they sai8d they got the approval fax as well and it may be about 2-3 months. That's great isn't it???

The sooner you get those done the faster you can have surgery!!!!!
