I've tried many other diets... *LOL* we won't talk about low carb, Stillman and the other "diets" but Weight Watchers teaches you to change your lifestyle. They also help with emotional eating also (do we only just eat when we are hungry?) Feel welcome to ask anything you want or just chat - would love to support you. You can do it. many hugs, Sue My email is gswidemark@gmail.com - feel welcome to write me there also!

Hi Wendy, Yes, Weight Watchers is a wonderful supportive system, DOES teach you how to eat what they call "filling foods" so you can have less and still be satisfied. We are members of "E-tools" which charges a small monthly fee but you get a great on line journal (drop and drag - real fast and easy) and a weight tracker and even places to track your measurements. We are going to the meetings. I started Weight Watchers in Feb 2008 and am 2 lbs below goal now but I wanted to lose slowly and I'm a 65 year old so you lose slowly at my age anyway. The slower you lose, the less muscle you lose and the higher percentage of fat. But when you lose real fast, most of what you lose is muscle and I work out and did not want to lose muscle. This is my fourth try... at Weight Watchers... (cont next message)

Sue, I am scheduled to have GBS November 2nd. Something in me still tells me that I shouldn't do it. I saw you and felt a bit encouraged, since my Aunt wants me to try Weight Watchers so badly. She had GBS and had to have it reversed, she almost died many many years ago.
I was wondering how long you have been doing or did WW and did it take a very long time to lose the weight? Do they teach you how to eat healthy? Or just eat whatever but only your allowed points? Can I ask for any advise if you have the time?
    Thank you!
    Wendy
