Saw my surgeon this week and he says I am a poster girl (girl! Ha! Makes me giggle) for WLS. Sent me to ObesityHelp to write a review of him & his office & my experience. But...he did say something that I've been mulling over, and I think it's important. He said people who have been very successful sometimes get a little complacent and the weight sneaks back on. NOW is the time to really watch what I eat, pick wisely, follow rules, take the vitamins, exercise. I sure don't want to gain...

I had a bra fitting at a fancy-schmancy lingerie shop near my daughter's Santa Ana home. We were visiting her last month. She took one look at me and set it up. What an eye opener. I had been buying...from Walmart, Target, Kohls...bras that I thought were pretty nice, fit Ok. But no. The second the fitter put me in a bra chosen for MY shape, MY size, I could instantly feel the difference. I had been buyin 40B's, rolling up the loose girls to compress and fit in the cups. I know we aren't supposed to weigh ourselves often...even daily is apparently too much. But ever since I dropped below 200 pounds I've run to the scale several times a day, marveling at that 198 pounds! Whee!

Wow, 4 months and one day ago....best thing I've ever done for myself! My torn stomach muscle is almost healed (take those surgeon's rules seriously, folks!) and I feel great. No meds, no pains, can eat most things, tho I'm careful. I don't want to experiment too much. Ate a couple of small bananas this week with no problem! The few times I've had a glass of wine I've gotten a bad headache so I'll put that off for awhile.
Whee! What an adventure...I'm turning into a clothes...
