Conversation Between susabean and kp66

Hi Susan, im Karen, iv just joined the site... im hoping to have my band fitted within the next 4weeks.... Im so glad to have found this site, iv searched the net every day for the past 2wks trying to find someone who has been through what im about to. I know the feeling of not being able to do the simple jobs like putting on socks or boots etc...not nice.
my major concern is fitting this life changing event into normal living, i.e work and socialising.... can you tell me how you cope with this?
Iv told my family and 2 close friends but dont want anyone else to know, is it possible to do this lifestyle discreetly?
