Saw your catch-up post and I'm thrilled that you are doing so well! Happy eleven week anniversary, too! I agree that most food doesn't sound very good at all. I'm still having a hard time eating much of anything but it's encouraging to know that you are doing so well.

Happy Seven-Week Anniversary!! How have you been doing?

I think I've lost between 35 and 40 lbs. Still struggling w/ complications. I had another endoscopy on Wednesday. The ulcer is healed but now I'm dealing with erosion in my esophagus and new tummy. Since Thursday, I've been on two medicines for acid reflux but haven't really noticed any benefits from them yet (prevacid and metazolv).

Still struggling w/ drinking water and other fluids and I'm eating about 2oz of food three times a day. I'm doing my best to make that be only protein but I cheat every now of then and will have a bite of the accompanying mashed potatoes or spaghetti noodles. I tend to have dumping quite often, often do to my cheating on the carbs.

Also, my knees are killing me!!! But I love the way my new face looks!!

Catch me up on how you are doing. I hope it's marvelous!!

Hey there. I still have some pain from my incisions, but it is getting better. I am more uncomfortable than anything else. It also seems to depend on my pants I am wearing. As for how much I can eat, it varies. I try to stick to the 3 oz they want me to keep to. I got a huge stack of 1oz cups from the hospital that I brought home with me. I fill each one with something different, and use super small baby spoons I got from Ikea to eat it with. I set a timer for 30 minutes and try to take up that whole time to eat. I was told not to eat more than that even if I don't feel full. So I do my best to stick to that unless my cups need washing. So I am sure you are perfectly normal. Hugs! It is good to have a friend who had their surgery the same day as me.

Hi Nicole! I had my surgery the same day as you. I'm struggling with the pain from the abdominal incisions and have no idea if that's normal or not. Also, how much can you 'eat' at once? I can only do about 5 or 6 swallows before I'm 'full.' Anyhoo, I figured I'd say hi since our dates match!!
