12/28/10 Today I weigh 210. I weighed 237 on 03/29/10. Good for me. The surgery recovery wasn't that easy. I found I was tired for about 3 mths afterwards. But I feel so much better now. I am so glad I did this. Dr. Chae said the weight lose would be slow.

I am 3 wks post-op from a malabsorbtion revision surgery. This was a very difficult surgery to recover from. I have gone from about 18 ' of intestine to 3.5'. I had my original RNY Bypass in 2004. I lost 132 lbs. I had gained about 33 lbs or was up to 236 lbs. Today I am 215 lbs. Yeah on the numbers! BUT, bigger than all of this is the fact that I have an eating disorder. I called to make an apt. with a Psychologist that specializes in bypass patients. There are still demons inside of my mind that are telling the the same crazy things as they have since I was about in 7th grade. The numbers on the scale will do there own thing now. But I have to address those issues inside of me that torment me. Like, "Am I EVER going to be good enough?" Bamm! I said it out loud. It sucks to have felt this way for 42 years. And where do we go to get help? It seems like no matter what I weigh I always feel like the "fattest girl in the room." I always feel like the second class citizen.

I have been scheduled for Dr. Chae to go in and make me more malabsorbant. I started at 335 lbs. day of my surgery, 2/26/04. Today I weigh 229. I was at 203 lbs. Worried because I have not spoken with anyone else yet who has gone through this procedure. Anyone out there?

    Welome to the board.
(((HUGS))) May your journey go well.

At least, it is sittll 30lbs. You can get back to track and get yourself back in shape again, if you are willing to. It will be harder this time arouond, but you still have the tool that will help you, so use it as it should be used. Review the pouch rules, what your nutrition intake should be, etc.
Check out the following secction, there are a few people in your shoes, you aren't the only one. The only thing that is between you and success is your determination, and how much you care about yourself.
