Good luck...don't worry you won't be so hungry after...if you are like me you will probably have what my grandma used to refer to as "eyes bigger than your belly", which in this case is so true. It will take a while before you can figure out what makes you sick and what doesn't (like rice and spaghetti are no no's for me, but pasta is okay in small qty)...I JUST started being able to eat a burger and only a bite. Food didn't even taste the same, couldn't seem to quench my thirst or taste for something I dreamt about..it will all evolve over time so don't get discouraged. I have lost almost 100 lbs since March 15th and went from a size 26 to 14/16 and though I stay within the same five lb. range, I seem to be losing inches still. Honestly I am ready for it to stop. I am thin enough for me. When you start getting into the lower sizes (18-20) you will go through clothes sizes faster. I think it is because that is how the fashion industry set it up, skinner you get the more fashion conscious so you will buy more clothes so they made the difference between sizes like 5 lbs I think..... Oh and you WILL get clothes conscious once you can shop! It is very overwhelming once you get in the teens (size 18 and smaller) because soooo many clothes are available. I never realized it because I couldn't get those sizes but the choices are endless! Well enough...good luck and keep me posted!

When I was going through the frequent changes of clothing sizes, I usually bought my clothes at St. Matthew's church (East Syracuse, on Kinne St) second time around shop, they are open on Thursdays, morning and evening hours, also The Thrifty shopper in East Syracuse located where the old Leo's grocery store used to be, also Free Cycle is great at getting clothes and the best thing of all they are free. Its funny but I still go to buy / get clothes from these sources still, I have bought very few "newer" clothes, the smaller the sizes you wear the more choices in second hand clothing you have. I did recently buy some new sweat pants, this is funny though, I was out shopping with the grandkids and was over in the "little boys" section picked up two pairs of 14/16 size boys sweat pants, thinking hmm maybe they'll fit, get them home and they were way to big on me, I guess if I do that again I will have to get the same size as my almost 10 year old grandson! I do know that the sizes of today aree bigger than the sizes of a few years ago, I can wear a 8 in the sizes back a few years ago and now I can wear a size 4 / 6 in jeans depends on the manufacturer. Just some cheap ways to get you through the frequent change of sizing you will go through in the next year and a half.

Just remember to keep sipping your fluids and little walks, this will definitly help with the gas, for me that was the worst, the gas, the frequent little walks and the simethicone, like gas x, it worked wonders, I asked for that instead of a pain med when I was in the hospital, then I got some for home. You'll feel alot better soon, not so sore. Congrats!!

My first visit with Dr. Weiss was Jan. 4, 2012. I've been to two support meetings and find the people there just awesome. I had an endoscopy last Friday and it didn't go very well.... throat is excrutiating sore and fever of 101F finally broke today. My GP saw me in his office on Sunday and prescribed anitibiotics.
