Watch out, keep your eyes peeled, keep your ears tuned for the pings as emails hit your inbox. There will be a new weekly newsletter appearing very soon. Featured will be the latest new threads, threads with the most views, birthdays, and of course a wee blurb from one of the mods.

This is an advance warning:

if you really don't want to hear from us, you can click off the receive Community Bulletin newsletters option on your usercp. Its right at the bottom of the Messaging and notification section.
You also have the option to receive text emails rather than html emails.

In addition - I needed to open this thread so I had a url to quote for feedback.

Seriously, I hope the newsletter will help you keep up with the fast moving board.
When you've been AWOL for a while, whether 'puter glitch, vacation, moving, or transferring to the losing side, don't forget to check your email for the newsletter to keep you in the know!

and have write ups on our members telling about our

Good suggestion. Following on from that idea, would be great if the mods could have a wander around the forum and find any juicy bits that are worth highlighting. Maybe prepare a list of questions, and use the "chat" to interview one of the members, or submit written questions, and get a written response that can be first published on the newsletter, then added to the forum.

But the newsletter needs to be there for the long haul so its basic content is also not bad - most read, newest etc posts and threads.

Maybe every two weeks there can be something a little more distinctive?
