I am sure you all are careful about personal info and privacy, but this is a reminder to please observe the following when posting.

Many of you are in personal contact with each other, and you may have received personal information through instant messaging, online chats, phone calls, PMs, emails, or face to face meetings. These settings are private, and as such, please consider the information gained through these contacts as private, and treat the information you have with care.

1. Please respect the privacy of other members, and do not reveal whatever personal information you know of others in posting, unless they have revealed the particular information themselves in their posts on this board, or you have the explicit permission from the member on making public such information.

2. This extends to information on the family of members of the board, whether spouse, siblings, parents, aunts and uncles etc, and children and grandchildren, especially minors. Please be extra careful about information on minors.

3. If any of the administrators and moderators notice such breach of privacy in the posts, or if we receive notice from members whose privacy is breached, we will edit the posts and remove whatever information that is considered a breach.

4. In accordance with above, if any of you feel that your privacy has been breached by specific information that you have not given the permission to be made public on the board, feel free to contact the admins/mods via PM for appropriate editing. We will also notify the poster whose posts have been edited due to privacy issues.

Different people have different levels of concern about their personal information, so I hope you will all remember to respect the level of privacy others see as appropriate, as well as your own standards.
