I have added some new eBay advertisements to RenewedReflections.

What do you think? I don't want to cause problems with people, so I am keen for your feedback.

I am showing the categories of:

• first section - jewellery
• second section - cellphones, xbox, hdtv, television

Are there any better categories that you think people would be interested in?

• Exercise equipment might be an idea?
• Weight loss products are not the best. Too many pills and other things - surgery is what people are here for, and we don't want to distract people with pills.

Michael thanks for maintaining the RR website, your effort is highly appreciated.

But honestly I find the forum too busy with the new setup. Anybody can access e-bay as a stand alone website.
unless if e-bay is paying RR web server for their ad then this is another story!

I agree with Hanadi...as a newcomer I am looking for advice, guidance and comeradarie with others who understand where I am because someone has been there themselves and get advice based on their life experience.

sorry michael ill have to agree with them. very distracting. unless there is an other way you can put it on the website. unless they are paying you.

I am hoping for a middle ground somewhere. There is potential good $ for the ads. Yes, people are coming here for WLS information and support, but they are also people who buy things.

Potentially $25 for each person who signs up to eBay for the first time, and then places a bid/buys something. As well as a percentage of the selling fee.

I have as an option to just add the adverts to the header, but where the ads are are a little more "in your face" so have the possibility of more people clicking on them.

I nearly bought another treo cellphone yesterday because of the ads there. Sometimes you just need a reminder even though you regularly use eBay.

I didnt see the ebay adds being i tend to keep my page
not full sized!
SO until i looked just now i didnt even see them.
IF you keep ur page not full screen you wont even
see the ebay items advertised! LOL
maybe thats why i didnt find them distracting !
until i maximized my page to full size!

Yes, if its helping i suppose its fine lol. VERY busy. and i am severely challenged when it comes to unintentional clicking lol. But again, if its paying for something or helping the forum out, by all means keep it.
