well, i started eating better, gained about 25-30 pounds back right away awhile back and then it leveled off , i had got down to about 250-255 and got back up to around 280 and now for the last couple weeks ive been staying at 273-275, as long as im doing my walks everyday. i feel much better, thann when i was getting 400-600 calories a day now its around 2000. i do want to keep going down to my goal of 225 but really hadnt decided to yet. probably when it cools down some so i can walk more without thinking im gonna pass out.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Good for you...... It is very hot for sure. Maybe you can walk in the mall where there is air conditioning. Keep up the good work!

Glad you are feeling better.
Good job on your intake. Actually, what you are getting in right now is still low for the weight you're at. Your weight went up regardless because it had been starving for a long time, and so was rushing to hoard everything. You lost some again, because your body is starting to figure out it's okay. I think you'll be able to lose some more with your present intake, so long as you keep up with your exercise.

Hi JJ, glad to see you back. I think Doc's advice is really good! Perhaps cut to 1700 calories or so but a slow loss is a better idea and will also help you to establish a lifestyle you can live with.

This one person I know (fabulous organist i.e. musician) is very slim. When we were talking about nutritional programs (which I prefer to call what I'm on because diets are something you go off of and I intend to live this for the rest of my life), he said "well I must be lucky because I can really pack in the food!"

"Can you really?," I asked and he answered he could but then he added "of course, I'm like a snake - eat once or twice a week!"

I asked him if he skipped a lot of meals and he said "Oh yes, I do!"

Whenever I have examined the nutritional programs of slim people, I typically find this type of thing. They don't count calories daily but have some other type of thing like skipping meals or not eating for a day or two a week, which controls their weight. I think there are actually very few slim people who can TRULY "pack it in" on a daily basis and those of us who do journal their food or use another tool like WLS, may be luckier because a controlled eating program, albeit some work on a daily basis, can be a healthier program i.e. we can keep the weight off but make sure we get the nutrients we need daily, to keep healthy... just a thought...

there was some king of teaser yesterday on the news about how looking at the calories may not be the way to look at eating to lose weight by looking at the label on the product, like you should look at other things on the labels but ofcourse i didnt get to see it when they finally talked about it. thanks all,,

What your goal says you wanna be is that you dont want to take in over 2,500 calories a day. That is maintence for your goal weight. Work with that number and see what happens.

You can copy that ribbon all you want. Bless your heart. And may she rest in peace.

Im still gonna agree with Doc. She is right stating you still taking in calories that are a bit on the low side for you. You know after I have watched and done all the low fat no carb etc... guru diets........ all of them the calorie counting is better. You know after a while without looking what is in it. The 2500 calories I put up before is using a formla for you to maintain a goal weight of 225. You will get there. It takes time. When your body is tired and its as hot as it is....... rest it and cool it down. Listen to it. Doc is right you were starving it before. Now its saying ok dude.. your trying to work with me so we can do this but dont starve me like you were. The massive loss is fun yes..... but I has to slow down to get where it needs to be.

Sue I know you think your organist friend does pretty good eating the way he does but that has been taught to him thoughout the years. I would not suggest that way of eating to anyone ever.

JJ remember I spoke to you before about cutting all the carbs out and then you added them back and wham here come that weight back on you? Im not a real fan or no carbs. Some are. I had my surgeon set and talk to me about this. He is the one that stated to me that a body has to have them even diabetics. For brian fuel. So some carbs are not bad. As you seen it run up and bit ya when you let some back in. So now you have leveled out somewhat remember that and dont starve yourslef again. You will be fine my friend. Just fine. It will come off slow and easy the way its supposed to. Take care and you will find that girl to Tango with again just watch!

A good piece of advice is to not be in a hurry.... but to establish a lifestyle that you will be able to live with for the rest of your life... hang in there - you are doing GREAT!!!
