It was a year ago that I reached goal and now am quite a bit below that with a BMI in the normal range!
My monthly weigh-in was Saturday.... Last time I weighed this, it was 1974. That's a long time ago! And I've never kept off my weight for a whole year!
This past week, I got up on a ladder and wow, I really felt the difference of being lighter. It was so much easier. Apparently even with a person who is fit (and I was fit even when I was heavier), when you are going against gravity like climbing stairs or climbing a ladder, weight makes a whole lot of difference.
But unlike they say on TV, it's not just "making better food choices" or even exercising but just watching carefully on a daily basis... Even Al Roker who had a gastric bypass, says he needs to count his calories to keep his weight off (and he runs 5 miles, 4 days a week too!).
Hope everyone had a good Labor Day!
