Talking Hey guys, I'm new here - here's my story

Hey guys,

I'm pretty new here and I'm a 22 year old who has always been struggling to keep my weight in place and keep myself in shape. I've had problems with my weight because of my metabolism and my blood pressure, it's been very difficult for me to lose any weight. I've tried a ton of programs like the atkins, jenny craig, slim fast, even stacker2 lol. None of those worked until I came upon the diet solution program found at FeelGreatopia.com which was actually a very good program by a nutritionist named Isabel.

Ever since then, I've never really had alot of problems in losing weight as so far I have lost 15 pounds in 2 1/2 weeks using the diet solution program. I have learned to keep my trim by eating the right foods and surprisingly keep away from the bad foods such as the ones that we eat every day! Anyways, I just wanted to say hi to everyone and hope that we can all learn from each other here.

Thanks!
J

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Thanks for joining us Jane! If you could fill out your stats that would help us to understand where you are in your journey. The majority of people here are WLS but there are a few very successful controlled diet and exercise too. Nice to see more!!

Keep up the good work and post often. This group is wonderful for support.

So you joined us to plug a commercial product in the first paragraph of your very first post, and you even won't tell us what kind of results you're so proud of? Others who have done the same have been accused of just wanting to sell something, not wanting to take part in the community life here.

This is not a diet board. This board's mission is providing support for a complete and total transformation of our lives, whether we've had WLS or not. As you get to know us, you will find a greatly enhanced awareness of good nutrition. You may also be surprised to realize that we, as a group, have very little to do with "the bad foods such as the ones that we eat every day!"

If this is wrong and you are genuinely interested in being a part of the family, welcome. Tell us about yourself and become one of the gang.

If your purpose in joining us was accurately stated above, I think you'll find a hard sell here.

I agree with CT in all of his responses. Ditto double ditto. MJ's also. We like to have some sort of stats to help along as we can and make sure we are dealing with a person instead of a promo. Thanks.

May your journey go well.

Moving this to the Non-Ops section, since you're on a commercial diet program rather than lifestyle change through weight loss surgery.

Hmmmm. Sounds like an infomercial to me, but I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.

We've all been exposed to these same "diet" plans and they obviously didn't work for us. I think the program you are offering would be no different than the ones we see advertised every day on T.V.. This surgery is not done with out a surgeons approval, just like any other surgery. For you to assume that we haven't done research and that we are ignorant of the facts related to this issue is really quite belittling.
Go with your diet, if it works, it works. Good for you. If you feel that surgery is what yo need, go through the process that we have gone through, join our group, and get healthy. That is what we are here for!

The most effective and frequently-used nutritional guidance program here among the non-ops seems to be Weight Watchers. WW provides a well-thought-out framework, but the only way it, or any other program, can possibly work is through a complete and total transformation of one's personal relationship with sound nutritional principles and concepts.

I've lost 60 pounds on Atkins (twice!) through religiously following that program. When I stopped doing that, I regained 80 each time. I needed the extra help that the surgical tool provided.

Whatever method works, is a good one. Long-term results are totally dependent on one's dedication and commitment to that method for the rest of one's life. When you reach a certain weight, there are no easy ways left to handle it.
