(((((HUGS)))))) Thank you for the update, you have lots on your plate, but do hang in there, later when you look back, you'll see that you've become stronger for having come through. May things get better for you from here.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Hi Linda,
I am also, until my surgery, trying to lose weight and learn a new healthier lifestyle. But a couple of weeks ago, I had a bad few days. I work nites at a motel and am all alone at night with 'noone' to watch. I stupidly ordered a small pizza and ate the whole thing myself. It was only a 10'' and a veggie, but also felt the guilt, just like you. The next day before I went to sleep from night work, I walked a 1/2 mile and felt alot better about myself and then drank a protein shake and the rest of that day went well. My psychiatrist and dietician when I started this process told me that there will be 'bad' days, but its important to talk to someone, realize what caused it and move forward on the right path and learn fromt he mistakes. I'm trying to follow that, I've got to repeat that to myself...a lot. You're doing great and its a hard road isn't it.
good luck!
LoLo

Linda;

It's really hard for very over-weight people to lose weight on their own. I am stalled at -88lbs--but that's okay! I'll get going again as long as I stay on track.

We non-ops do not have (NOT an excuse--just reality) the "tool" of a smaller gut and a shortened digestive system. We just DON'T.

So... ...if we're gonna lose weight, we have to get into a strict regime (addicts do better that way) and maintain it daily. IF we get off track, it is important to get back on IMMEDIATELY, or ASAP. The reason is to give yourself and your body a break. You don't want to lose the same 20 pounds 5 times!!! That's 100 lbs that could be "history"!!! Isn't that crappy? It's just too discouraging. I think if we have to work SO HARD we ought to at least get to keep the benefit of our weight loss!

One of the problems about "getting off track" is that it may be "just too hard" to get back on--until serious damage is done! It's much easier to just maintain.

I find that thinking like this is the only way I can get by. I don't know if it's any help to you. [BUT there is that little manic HIGH that kicks in--YAY--after a few days of high protein/low carb to look forward to: giggle]

XOXO
Mya
