Default Flying after surgery

I am having surgery the middle of March. In June I am flying to Montana for 3 weeks. I was wondering if anyone has ever flown 2 months post op? Does anyone know of any reason I would not be able to fly? Sorry if this seems like a silly question!

Thanks, Amy

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

I'm pretty sure you'll be fine. Has anyone told you you can't fly?
You'd be 3 months out by then, you should be healed well enough by then both the outside (which heals faster) and inside (which does take 3-4 months), so there should be no problem.

I was talking to my sister on the phone and she said "Are you sure you'll be able to fly by then." It just got me thinking that maybe I wouldn't be ready. I haven't spoken to the surgeon about it yet, but I will. Thanks for your reply.

I had my surgery in Mexico and I had to fly home 10 days later. I was first scheduled to fly home after only 5 days, but I didn't feel up to it. Luckily I could easily change my return flight. By the time I left in 10 days, I felt fine. And I was excited because I didn't need a seat belt extender for the first time in years.

I think you will do fine at 2 months out. You will be able to show off your new slimmer figure by then!

Well, I am not sure about flying but I asked my surgeon if I could go to Disneyland/California Adventure in March and ride roller coasters. I will be 2 months out at that time, and he said it was just fine!

Amy,
1st welcome to the boards, I see your an army wife too...yippee...second at 2 months out I felt fantastic and had very little restrictions, I dont see why you wouldnt beable to fly. Have fun and enjoy your trip...also just make sure while you are in the air to sip plenty of water we dont want to dehydrate you while you are in the air.
