Unhappy Frustrated

Hello Everyone,

I had surgery on 4/08/08. In the first 2 weeks I lost 19 pounds. This past week I lost NOTHING. How is this possible? I'm completely dumbfounded. It is so frustrating to get on that scale each morning and see NO change. I have read several other post where people go through the same thing, but I just don't understand how I can lose nothing in a week. I'm not doing anything differently then I did in the first 2 weeks. I'm just at a loss right now and any advice would help. Thanks.

Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Right Now Your Body Is Trying To Adjust And You Will Hit Stalls. Please Dont Think The Scale Will Move Every Wk Hun. Your Body Is Trying To Heal And Will Need To Hold On To Its Fat To Do That. So Dont Worry Because Next Wk Or The Following Wk Will Be A Different Game.

We Didnt Gain This Over Nite So We Will Not Lose It Over Nite.

Congrats On The 19lbs And Be Patient For More To Come. Stalls Are Expected In This Journey

Hello and welcome to the club, remember your body will be adjusting itself as the weeks go by dont be surprised if you see sometimes you do lose some weight from one day to an other but remember everyone is unique so don expect to see the same results on everyone.

I can share with you that I sometimes go by weeks without losing a gram but one day a can drop 2 to 3 pounds so don't worry you will see the changes eventually.

Thank you! That is exactly what I needed to hear. I needed to know that this is a normal part of the journey. I'm going to put my scale away and try to only weigh once a week.

Your body is trying to catch up with your weight loss. 19 pounds in 2 weeks is FANTASTIC! Put the scales away and enjoy your success. The weight loss will continue. I promise!

We started off at basically the same weight and I stalled in my 3rd week also. The way I looked at it was that at least I wasn't gaining but how in the world can I not lose weight hardly eating anything. Everntually the stall ends and then you lose some. I am 6 weeks out and I'm stalling again. Perhap's it happens every 3 weeks LOL

You are doing fine! There will be many many more stalls to come, it is just a part of this. Make sure that you have your measurements, you can check them once a month and see a huge difference when the scale is not moving for you.
