Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass  |  O/T - so proud of DS I am so proud of my kids, esp DS as he is getting ready to graduate! I just have to share!!! We're going thru the end of year banquets etc and he has won so many awards this year ~ it's truly a culmination to what was sometimes very difficult growing pains. I am just so thankful for the man he is becoming. When we were filling out a resume for him, I found one online for kids that haven't held jobs to highlight their strengths and accomplishments, I realized he isnt a smart kid with an artsy side ~~ he's an artsy kid who happens to be smart! How do we miss these things??? Anyway, he was awarded the Renaissance Character Award which is from the Art Dept for the person most dedicated to the arts for his efforts in marching band, concert band, symphonic orchestra, writing, photography, graphic design, and for participation in the art club and Tri-m music honors club. He was also recognized for his GPA. Then we went to the band banquet and he received several recognitions there but the best was the John Phillip Sousa Award for his dedication to and accomplishments in music over the past four years ~ only one kid a year gets this and their name is on a plaque at school in the bandroom. Then, on Friday, he found out that a short movie he made in graphic design (his chosen career field) was chosen 2nd in a state competition! I am so thankful and so proud of him. I feel like you guys are family and I just wanted to share with you ~~~ For those of you with trying times with your kids, hang in there!!! Two years ago, things looked much bleaker --- again, I am so thankful to God for bringing us to this place.
