Default I got yelled at!!!!!

I had my three month check up yesterday and I lost 8 pounds for this past month. I was kind of disapointed but the nurse said that we were all different in any weight loss.
My surgeon was not very happy with my 8 lbs.
Of course he asked me what I was eating and I was going through my list and when I got to having apple sauce he stopped me and said that I was not to have it. Too much sugar....
With so much protien I have found that a daily dose of applesauce helps to keep my system moving along. It might be just me but the protien tends to create a problem with constipation.

He gave me a menu to track what I am eating and he wants to go over it with me on my next visit. I feel like I really failed myself.....

Was it not getting the walking in I am supposed to do?
Was it the newer foods I have allowed myself to try from time to time? Was it the problems I have been having with my TOM?
Was it spending so much time worrying about my Mother??
OOHHHHHH who knows, but I am certainly not going to get into that old rutt I used to be in. NEVER. NEVER, NEVER.....

THANKS FOR LISTENING.....

ROBBIN

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

(((Hug)))))
sorry the surgeon yelled at you....!
BUT i can fully understand about the hidden
sugar in applesauce even if its natural. SUCH a
balance we have to juggle to keep things moveing
at the best. We learn as we go so dont get bumbed
to much. At least you were journaling your foods and
he saw a place to adjust some!

I know you mentioned the applesauce is for bathroom
issues. I heard from many at my local support group
meetings they use SMOOTH MOVE TEA, have a cup
at bedtime and by morning they go nice and easy, no
cramps nothing. THEY swear by the stuff. I believe
its available at GNC...maybe try that.

ANYWAY its a new month and you can work harder.
PERHAPS monitor all ur eating at FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal
to help see what your exactly eating. WE do all
loose differently but sometimes we do have to adjust
little things that might also hinder some weight loss.
ITS only a tool and we still have to work!
good luck and i hope u can locate this herbal SMOOTH
move tea to help with the constipation assoicated with
a high protein diet.

GOOD luck!

Don't fret over what was, and what was not. What's important is where you can adjust to keep track, and I'm sure you know what you need to do, and can do them.

Don't stress. There is nothing you can do about what you did in the past so just move on and pick it up from here. I have the bathroom issue and have found if I drink enough water that it doesn't make for a problem.

sorry you are feeling down. Of course you know that all types of things are contributors to our weight. not just the things we eat. So try to focus on you and whatever results you get will be the best ones for you.
Good luck

Thankyou Lisa, Doc Sanae, Shelly, and Darcy.

After I thought things over today I had to go back a month a figure out if it was really what I ate as much as what I am!!!! I will keep my journal and i will see also what I might need to tweak here or there.

I will look for the tea though, I didn't know there was such a thing. I like having a cup of tea at night, this might be a solution. As always there is always something I learn to try...hehehe

He doesn't beleave in the protien drinks though and I am afraid this might be a problem, but it works for me, at breakfast. I will warn him before he reads.....and hold my breath.
I love my surgeon who is so passionate about his patients he wants you to have only natural, real foods. To be healthy forever, and I can appreciate that.

No I canot dwell on the past, but learn from it.
Stress could be a factor as well, but for now I think I will go back to some liquids for a few days, and start over....might get me started with the weight loss again.
I have to remind myself that I still lost 8 pounds...not too bad.

Thankyou everyone., you are all the greatest ever!!!!!!

Big Hugg sweetie.... I know it must have been hard to go through that, but it sounds like you have been able to pick yourself up and dust yourself off so onward to new and better things. Congrats on your 8 lbs, and I don't think it is too bad either.

Robin-

Is it no sugar added apple sauce? If not then I would buy that or peal apples and cut up and blend. Apples have lots sugar. Also you may want to mix it a little and see how your body does without so much. Maybe just a small bite once a day is all your body really needs or talk to your doctor about a fiber suplement, It has helped me keep regular. Good luck and stay strong.

Hello,

I do buy the unsweetened apple sauce. and only have about 1/2 cup at a time.
I really do not like taking unnatural suppliments, and if a silly 1/2 cup is all I need to keep things happy 2 or 3 times a week, then I will listen to my body and go with the flow....hehehehe....no punn intended.
Hmmm...sorry.

I am keeping my new journal, and keeping track of my calories as well as protien intake. Marking water too.....

Now if I can get the rest of my life in order!!!!!

Thanks for listening..''ROBBIN"

((((((HUGS)))))) Robbin.
I hope you'll be able to come to terms with what your mother needs and what you wish to do.
Remember, sometimes issues get out of contex and control because you are too close to the person, and lose objectivity in what the true need of that person is.
I hope you'll be able to be at peace with whatever decisions you make.
