Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

i didnt mean to come of as harsh and my post reads. i just think there is a lot of work to be done and that you are not at a point where you realize it just yet. in some of your posts you place blame and paint yourself as the victim. you need to stop playing the victim. right now you seem to be in a stage where you want people to feel sorry for you and give you a way out of where you are; or maybe not even the way out. maybe you just want sympathy. im not really sure what it is you are looking for. its not as simple as support. im sorry but you are the only one who can help yourself. you seem to have backed yourslef into a corner and want others to believe you dont want to be there and need help out, when it is in fact YOU keeping you there.

listen, depression and ADD no matter how severe, are not life threatening and definitely not cause for anyone to feel sorry for you. there are people who function with this disorders everyday. and it is in part because they WANT to. if you want to rise above them and the stigmas attached YOU have to do the work.

in terms of WLS surgery, i think you would be a train wreck post op. im being completely honest with you. i do not mean to offend you. i dont think you will be offended because i dont think you really care what anything thinks but thats irrelevant. until you work out all this other stuff, surgery shouldnt even be an option. and i am not saying this to be mean. i am on the other side and have my days when this is the hardest thing to deal with. you need to put all those other issues to rest before you can even begin to tackle this. i just dont think you are ready or that this would be in your best interest at this time.

just think long and hard about what YOU want. not what others want for you. the path will become clear. its easy for outsiders to pass judgement, but to be honest with what has been presented, its not the best picture painted of yourself. you have blamed medications for your weight gain. true indeed they may have side effects which add to the situation, but you and only you control what you put in your mouth.

with respect to the child situation; been there, done that, and not going back. just understand there are some people on this board who actually cannot have children and they may be offended or hurt by your attempts at sympathy.

as for the religious stuff...i've never been big on religion, but i would never go as far as to say something others believe in is a joke and then in the same breath expect those who you have insulted to support you.

this is a wonderful place because we all support eachother and are sympathetic to eachothers needs (within reason). we try not to intentionally offend eachother and respect is big here. if you want ideas on how to help yourself, i am sure others could and would pitch in, but like i mentioned, ultimately its you who has to do the work.

im sorry this was long, and probably didnt hold your interest, but i wanted to make sure it is clear where i was coming from. i mean no malice. i just hope you get the help that you need and deserve.

Havent been on much but man this post was alot to read. Whew~!!!

I have to say, Doc & Kenya you both have a way with words and kudos to you both for your posts. Very nicely put.

Best of luck to all people out there who struggle with things every day. This board is a wonderful place. Even though life has taken over and I am not on much now a days its still like a second family and these people are here to support one another and we are all in the same boat. I love this place.
