OMG, it's getting so hard for me. I'm having such a difficult time, not with the Gastric Bypass Surgery, but with new things that keep coming. Prior to my Gastric Bypass, which was on 01/22/08, my appendix ruptured and it did so much damage inside. After being in ICU for 2 weeks, I decided to have my Gastric Bypass Surgery. Because I had so much damage, I have a lot of scar tissue that is now a problem. On June 25th, the doctor removed a tumor from my uterus. I went for my post-op this past Monday and the doctor told me that I have complex hyperplasia which puts me at a very high risk for cancer. The doctor said I need to have a hysterectomy ASAP. Well, that's fine except they had scheduled my hernia operation for the last week of July. Now the doctors have decided that I will go into surgery, one doctor will do the hysterectomy and before they close me up, they will repair the hernia. I'm trying not to get discouraged, but I'm going crazy here. Not to mention how hard it is for me to go for all these surgeries because I have been taking care of my husband for the past few years. He had a malignant brain tumor removed which left him with seizure disorder, memory loss ect. Although the doctor says I'm doing ok with the weight loss, I feel that if I have to have another surgery after this, I'll go crazy. I'm seeing a doctor for my depression. I'm trying so hard to keep my spirits up. Then if this isn't enough, as I stated once before, my Mom passed away the day I was discharged from the hospital after my Gastric Bypass. Now, since my husband and I are living in my Mom and Dad's house, my Dad told me the other day that I need to move because the house is now up for sale. So, in between surgeries, I now have to go apartment hunting. Sorry for rambling on, but I really needed to get this out. It's been bottled up and I had to let go of it. Please keep me in your prayers. I REALLY want to be healthy again. Thanks so much. Sharon

My goodness...I am so sorry! You are def proving that you are a strong woman and can handle the things that come your way. I can fully understand everything that you are going through with the hysterectomy as I went through the same thing in 2004. Wow, when it rains it pours. I'm so sorry you're dealing with all this. I wish I could be closer to help you at all. Do you have any family that could help? The bright side of this is that they found the condition and can do the hysterectomy before things progress and they can do the hernia at the same time. Kill 2 birds with one stone. So if there is a bright side, that could be it. And hopefully this will be it for surgeries for a long time!
