| Hey everyone, yes, it's mike. I just have one question that has just been bugging me. Everyone, including my doctor and dietician, are VERY surprised that since my surgery i have not even once tossed up my cookies. They have never had a patient yet that hasn't at least once done it. I am concerned that maybe i am not eating enough to feel full or something. Don't get me wrong, i do eat like i should and am very careful in what i eat NO SUGAR THOUGH, but i eat everything and nothing has even remotely bothered me. AGAIN, NOT COMPLAINING. IT JUST SEEMS WEIRD. Just wanted people's thoughts on this little concern of mine and hope to hear from one or two lol. mike |

| Super Moderator | I've heard tell there are some who seem to do very well as you are. Just because your dr and dietician hasn't run into anyone like you, that doesn't mean there's no one like you, all it means it that it's YOUR dr and dietician's experience. I wouldn't worry about it, sooner or later, you are going to have something that will not agree with you, it's just not cookies, at least for the moment. As a matter of fact, something that you find agrees with you right now, may not agree with you later on. If you do fine with all you've had so far, take advantage of it, and get in your proteins and your water good and proper, and pick up good new eating habits to keep you on track for always. Stay cool, you're right on track there, ((((((HUGS))))))

| that is kinda what they told me too, and i guess i just needed a little pat to say you are doing fine. lol I guess i just have been expecting it too much just because everyone else has, or mostly everyone. I feel i am getting enough water and protein. FFOR THE RECORD, I HAVE BEEN NOT EATING COOKIES LOL. I will keep doing what i am doing and not worry so much about perhaps the inevitable someday. HOPEFULLY NOT FOR A LONG TIME. THANKS AGAIN FOR THE SUPPORT mike |

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Mike, I am a little over 6 months out and have yet to do that. I have heard from different people that sometimes around 7 months is when they started. I am hoping that I am just one of the lucky ones that it never happens to. There are times when I have thought I would feel better if I did, but still haven't. Just consider yourself lucky...for now, and hopefully awhile.

5' 6" Height: | Hi Mike, I'm like you...I am 4 mos. PO & have not once either. There have been a few times when I got the foamies, probably from eating too fast or not chewing enough or maybe eating too much. They aren't fun. That's when I wished I could throw-up. Sounds like your doing great. Your looking good! |

| Super Moderator | Mike, do you realize you now have the honor and distinction of being the first patient for your surgeon and dietician who has had no problems, and now they can honestly say, yes, there are patients who do quite well.![]()

Weight Loss Method Roux en Y Gastric Bypass | Congrats Mike, consider yourself lucky. I'm 3 weeks post op and only threw up right after getting home from the hospital, the pain meds were making me sick. The only problem I have is it often hurts when I eat, doesn't really seem to be any one thing that triggers it either. After i burp a few times I feel much better |

| I guess I do consider myself very very lucky because i dont do well with lol. I hope i never do that. When u mentioned the hurting when you eat thing, I thought of myself right away. I get that alot. Not everday, but alot. With me though, it is during the whole meal. I am starting to think that maybe its the food i am eating at the time. I could be wrong but maybe its the texture of the food. THAT IS JUST A GUESS MIND YOU. I guess though, i am glad someone else is experiencing the same thing as me. NOT THAT I AM GLAD. LOL It's just nice to know that someone is just like me so far. Hopefully we can start lending each other some support with this. Hope to hear from u again. I can't wait to see what a difference this surgery will make with u physically and for your self esteem. YOU GO BREN!!!!!!!!mike |
