Lightbulb Things that change for the better.

We have all posted about how much better our body look and what we can do now versus before. Have you noticed the change in your completion? I used to have blotchy skin etc..... Just thought It was due to aging. Not. My complexion has changed for the better. My skin feels like a baby fresh born bottom so soft and smooth. Now I have wrinkles now ...before they were blown up and didn't see them LOL. But as far as my skin tone is its wonderful. I have freckles so I have them on different places on my face more in one area than the other but its a part of me. I like em. My toe nails and finger nails have grown allot since and have got back that nice healthy white color to them. I never thought my finger nails looked bad anyways but to see them now its wonderful.

My toe nails on the other hand were a different story. Both of my big toes had a yellow Tinge to them. Yuck. I know some of you will not read no further because feet sicken them. However the ones that are left.... I used to use Vick's Vapor rub on them to get rid of the thickness to them. It worked but left them yellow and unhealthy looking. Now.... this year I can wear sandals without worry or painting them a darker color than they are. LOL. My hubby is not a foot man what so ever.

He don't want to even touch his LOL. My skin didn't seen as dry this winter. I would forget to put on lotion at times but it didn't bother me near as bad as it used to. I'm sure Vitamins have played a big part to this but the healthier eating has to be part of it to.

Have any of you noticed changes like this or to other parts of your body including hair that is better now? If so let me know. Its something to talk about perhaps.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

You know I really have noticed that my skin is not so dry anymore. I also figured it was the vitamins. I never took any before my surgery. My nails are still breaking off as bad as ever. I thought maybe they would strengthen but not yet. Maybe in time. My hair has stopped falling out as bad and I can see new hair growth coming in again. I feel so much healthier, ( heck I AM healthier) a couple of years ago I could barely walk and almost never left the house. I suffered from so many different medical problems. I am now off all but my hypothyroidism meds. WLS that has given me the tool to lose weight and two new knees and life is worth living again. I thank God everyday that I was blessed with being able to get this life-changing surgery.

My girlfriends are always asking me what I do to get my nails so long and white. I was just thinking today that it's time to cut them back again they've gotten so long. LOL

I use to have very dry skin and now it is not near as dry as it use to be. My hair is about the same as before i lost all that hair. Only thing I have noticed that my hair does not grow as fast as it did before, including my underarms. I do not have to shave as often. I have more wrinkles on my face but that is ok becasue my face looks 100% better now than it did before. I went down a shoe size. When I wear jewlery now, it looks much better on me now than before. My braclets hang lose and look nicer on me than so tight as before and most of the time I could not wear braclets because they just where to tight and bothered me. All that fat I use to have around my neck before surgery, oh my gosh it is almost all gone and that feels wonderful. I finally have a normal face. My hubby just told me this afternoon that when I am in a store that I look much taller now, like
5 ft. 10 inches, I told him naa and he told me that I really look much taller now that I lost all that weight. He said I looked much shorter with all that weight I use to have on. I also thank God for that life saving surgery that I had. I am finally living life again.

Now that you mentioned it my skin was not anywhere near as dry this past winter. For years I suffered with major skin problems on my legs and arms. Lost of scars to show for it. As for my face I am (at least I think I am) taking better care of it. I've been using a solution from Dr Denise from QVC and it works wonderful.

My hair is still thin as it always was but that is okay. In my dreams I have thick wavy hair.

Dixie are you taking Biotin? It will help with your nails. I stopped taking it a while ago but recently stated it back up to help with my nails. Bill will be here on the 10th and he likes longer nails.

Hi all. Question... I noticed several of you mentioned your thin hair? Did you lose lots of hair after the surgery, or did you have thin hair before? I wasn't quite clear on that. No one has ever mentioned to me that losing hair is a side effect of the surgery.
Thx
