I was just wondering how far out you have to be to start working your abs. Mine is starting that melted candle affect and I want to catch it before it slides down to my thighs

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

LOL honey your seeing the skin melt not the abs. Sure they can use some work but remember skin is not fat and you can tone. You know there are gonna be alot of differences of opinion on this. Me being a nurse and just watching this board for the last couple of years....... I will give you my OWN opinion on this. Like I say they will differ.

My surgeon told me to watch the tummy for atleast a year. WHY? because of hernias. Those little holes can get a hernia under them. Your abs are weaker do to the puncture they took. Any thing that is weak like our clothing seams even weak floors in our house we baby them to not make them worse or get it fixed dont we.

I have watched the boards and the ones that really push the abs excersise tend to have more hernias than the ones that excerise the whole body instead of concentrating on the stomach. Of course that is what we are looking at first. But that is the part that will give out on us.

It was explained to me that way and makes sense to me. I dont want a hernia. That surgery hurts worse then the WLS part.

I do some lite excersies to mine now but I still baby it because the last CT they did on mine just 3 months out showed small ones under my holes. I didnt want to get them going and flaming up on me and left unattened they can be dangerous.

So that is my OWN opinon on this. Ask your surgeon and go from there. That is my advise. Im sure Doc will add to this and I do hope she does.

Have a good one honey.

You need to ask your surgeon for clearance. On the average, 3-6 months, I think.
