Question A little bummed.. Almost one week post op

So I know I'm jumping the gun a bit but I'm a bit bummed. I'll be 6 days post op tomorrow. I spent three days in the hospital ( two of which I just sipped on water) and have been doing the usual phase 2 diet. So after spending a few days at my moms house, I come home today expecting to jump on the scale and have dropped a few pounds. But nope, I'm exactly the same weight as I was the morning of surgery?!?!?? What !?!? I figured with the liquid diet combined with a good deal of walking I would have shed a few pounds at least. Is this normal? Anyone else experience this? I don't plan on living my weightloss journey on the scale but I thought this would be one time I would see results.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Three days in the hospital and I'll bet you were on the IV just about the whole time while they pumped you full of fluids that weighed at least two pounds per liter. You are completely normal. Give it a bit. Your body has to work all that stuff out first, then things can happen.

Put those scales away for about the first three weeks. They will drive you crazy!!

You're doing fine.
Remember, even if your surface incisions are closed, your insides are still healing, and adjusting to the major upheaval it went through. Right now, your body's priority is to heal, not lose weight. Give it time, and the weight will soon start melting away.

This is so normal. I even gained from where I started from the ivs and swelling from surgery. It will drop fast once it starts moving. It will take a while. As before stated stay off the scale and you will be surprised what you see in a few weeks. Hang in there it will get better. Those first few weeks are challenging but its all worth it. Good luck and take care of yourself.
