Default Two postop firsts today

For the first time since surgery I felt a little hungry today. Not like I used to be where I was hungry all the time but the hungry where my body is telling me Hey get up and find something your running low.

Second first I'm not so proud of.My wife had got me a box of 100% fruit juice Popsicles. Well I had posted on here about cotton mouth and had a lot of replies that they help. So I had one this morning and it was really good. Then this afternoon I was getting a little dry again so I grabbed another. When I was about half down with it I glanced at the ingredients. Second on the list after apple juice was high fructose corn syrup. I started to worry about getting sick. But the other one didn't hurt me at all. So now I know I have some tolerance for it. But just to be safe the kids are getting the rest.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

HI My mouth was also dry a lot and I tried the popsicles, but I have nber really liked them anyway. You can get sugar free jolly ranchers and try them. I found they helped me a lot. Good luck with your weight loss!

sugar free def the way to go for that. Just cause one time you try it and it was tolerable doesn't mean the next time will. The pouch is crazy that way! There are some really good sugar free popsicles out there.

Sugar hard candies can be helpful..BUT..there's always a but, the sugar free candies even the hard kind can cause diarrhea sometimes so that's a 'be careful' choice. if your doc allows sugar free gum you might try that.

Some docs don't recommend gum due to the worry that if you swallow it it will plug up the stoma opening...like..really now..are we little kids to be worrying about swallowing gum??..LOL

I like the sugar free fudgecicles too! You will find yourself reading the labels so much more now.
