Default Stop Worrying About the Future - March 21, 2006

Stop worrying about the future.

We know from experience that as time goes on, the future takes care of itself. Everything works out well, as long as we work on on our daily recovery. All we need to think about is today. When we get up in the morning and see the sun shining in the window, we thank God that He has given us another day to enjoy, a day in which we may have a chance to help somebody. Do I know that this day is all I have and that with God's help I can practice healthy eating and living?

Meditation for the Day
All is fundamentally well. That does not mean that all is well on the surface of things. But it does mean that God's in His heaven and that He has a purpose for the world, which will eventually work out when enough human beings are willing to follow His way. "Wearing the world as a loose garment" means not being upset by the surface wrongness of things, but feeling deeply secure in the fundamental goodness and purpose in the universe.

Prayer for the Day
I pray that God may be with me in my journey through the world. I pray that I may know that God is planning that journey.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Amen.
To be honest, it takes courage to do what we need to (not what we want to) and trust that everything will work out in the future, even if things refuse to move the way you want them to, today.
Build your life one brick at a time, and when the right moment comes, you will have a beautiful place of prayer....yourself.

May we all receive our Grace for this day.

Amen to both statements. Your prayer is perfect.

Thank you Craig. I think I really needed that. I have come to realize that lately I have kind of been taking His blessings for granted and become caught up in the little worries along the way. He has proven to me time and time again that He is here for me and will work things to my benefit, and I hope that I don't relapse and rest on my laurels again anytime soon, or that at least I will get off of them sooner. Thanks for keeping us on track.

Thumbs up

You hit the nail on the head with this one Craig.
I have learned over the past year to quit worrying about tomorrow because as the "Word" says tomorrow will take care of itself.

I like to say that "I'm not where I need to be but I'm not where I used to be."

I really love that thought/quote you used, "I'm not where I need to be but I'm not where I used to be." That is awesome. I think I may have to write it on a cute board along with "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels."
