She wears white socks upon her feet
to cloak others in her image
but nay she speaks a word to me
for fear i might discover
Her coat it shines in splendous hues
of purple, red and black
Her maine and tail shine pur and white
She's a mythical creature within my mind
for on her head she wears a horn
it's crystal clear and hollow through
to play her magic notes
And as she fills my ears with tunes
she changes before my eyes
Now she is a firefly
to light my darkened path
Again, her form changes
withing her symphony
She stands before me in human form
so much like mine
I blink my eyes
and there she stands on all fours
Her symphony has ended
but still her eyes unblinkingly
stare into my own
conveying her secret to my mind
Suddenly it dawns
as she fades out of sight
I faintly hear her music say
that this unicorn is the magic
that lives inside of me

are you a fairy lover too? I love the beautiful winged creatures and love to spend time looking online at fantasy art pictures. One of my fave artists that I have found is Linda Tso. She is very talented.

Hey pillows! I don't just like looking at the fairie fantasy stuff, i like to write about it, and read about it and decorate my apartment with it. And even though i'm not the most talented, i love to draw fairies and dragons and elves ect. One of my favorite series of books when i was growing up (and still is), is "the xanth series" by Piers Anthony. They were great and filled with every kind of creature you could imagine. I like 'Nightmare' she's a horse that brings nightmeres to people. You should look in your local used book store for them. If you like that kind of stuff you will love these books.

In the orient, the tapir is said to eat people's nightmares. This tapir doesn't look like the real life one, but is an imaginary creature tha has the head and nose of the elephant, the eye of the rhinoceros, the body of the bear, and the feet of tiger and the tail of an ox. I should go hunt up a pic of this animal.
Lots of queer sprits and ghosts in my part of the world, too.

Wow your have a touchy words. Although I'm not a peom reader but I enjoyed it truely. Me too I love fairies and butterflys. I have them on my clothes, shoes, hair accessories, my daughter's room decore. I love them they are very sentemental and beautiful.
