| Baby Steps of Faith - March 25, 2006 Thought for the Day
Strength comes from coming to believe in a Power greater than yourself that can help you. You may not be able to define this Power yet, but you can see how it helps other among you. You hear them talk about it and you begin to get the idea yourself. You try praying in a quiet time each morning and you begin to feel stronger, as though your prayers were heard. So you gradually come to believe there must be a Power in the world outside yourself, which is stronger than you and to which you can turn for help. Am I receiving strength from my faith in this Power? Am I willing to call this power God, if only for today? Am I willing to take honest baby steps in my faith? Meditation for the Day
Spiritual development is achieved by daily persistence in living the way you believe God wants you to live. Like the wearing away of a stone by steady drops of water, so will your daily persistence wear away all the difficulties and gain spiritual success for you. Never falter in this daily, steady persistence. Go forward boldly and unafraid. God will help and strengthen you, as long as you are trying to do His will. Prayer for the Day
I pray that I may persist day by day in gaining spiritual experience. I pray that I may make this a lifetime work.

I have heard it mentioned by many different teachers in my church that sometimes even the prayer filled with nothing more than a desire to want spirituality in our life is better than nothing at all. Sometimes in todays busy world we get so caught up in competitiveness and quick results that we forget that spiritual things are often taught and witnessed to us line upon line, precept on precept. There are still some things about my faith that I do not understand, but find it is enough to simply want to understand it when the time is right and concentrate on improving on what I have been given already. Thank you for this Craig, you are so on the same wavelength right now.

As I try to stay really honest, sometimes my prayers are simply "God help me be willing, to be willing"

Thought this post might be helpful for some of us to read and think about during the busy holiday season when it is so easy to wonder off the path.

Hi Janae. I posted this the other day when I was a little lonely for my RR pals because nobody seemed to be around.
I'm looking to hit -100 in the very near future...at 90+ now. I don't get on the scale all that often but plan to maybe in 2 weeks. I have been very busy with my new job and family activities.
Thanks for asking! I'm missing Chuppy and SHH.
