Default Results of Drs Appt Not so bad.

Ok did the Drs appoitment I didnt wanna do after I had that week of Predisone AKA steroid that put 14 pounds on me . Got there got on the scale Bam 4 of them was gone! Whew LOL.

Held my breath until he come in. First thing he said... Been 7 months since I seen ya last your up 10 pounds what happend? Told him..... reply ( That will do it every time) Let me see ya feet. Yep your sloshing around a bit. Yes... I have notes here from the ER and a note to where I told you to go in last week about you neck shoulder hurting. You mean they didnt do nothing more than this........... etc..... LOL. Nope Doc.... grumbles... fusses about the treament the notes.... gumbles.... etc.

On to me and the current stuff. BP is still way to low for his liking. 86/ 62 . Nurses reading. His reading. Checks me over has me stand up BP drops a bit more 82/58 both arms. Says your doing really good. Hes proud of me. 3 and a half years. No weight gain except the 10 pounds from the Predisone. Tells me even if I didnt have that med he couldnt have fussed really. Pulls alot of blood to do normal test orders additonal test to check out the BP problem. Cortisol testing again. Wants me in again in weeks fasting for more tubes and Cortisol again along with liver and cholesterol hoping my cholestrol is up this time was a tad bit LOW last time.

I get placed on Carafate again tummy is burning and I have a gnawing feeling in my pouch like I had when i had a ulcer before im on enough tummy meds not to have that going on so...... gastro Dr appotiment to be made soon to get another scope to see if its back. Good until June unless he calls to tell me different. So.....

It wasnt as bad as I thought Not bad for 3 and almost a half years out. Still a unique patient to him. My PCP. He had to take over everything and learn alot to take care of me. Im one lucky girl.

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

Glad to hear things went well. And I bet you never thought that you would be told you had LOW cholesterol. (I'll bet that doesn't happen to too many people). Hope the rest of the testing goes well for you.

You know since I had the surgery my cholesterol went all the way down to normal almost immediatly and the triglycerides also. My Triyg were so high at one point no matter the meds they couldnt get them down and they were so worried about them. The last few times they have done the cholesterol its been a tad to low.

I have to make a note my RNY surgeon retired about a year after I had my surgery. He didnt have a partner to see his patients. My PCP was smart enough to go get educated about RNY patients and took time to go to a seminar on this own time to help take care of us. He had about 5 within the last 5 years and said he needed to know how to help us better. If he hadnt done that I have no idea what I would do right now. Hes good to me and keeps on top of stuff very well. He dont mind telling ya when somthing is not right also. I like the straight shooters not the hand holders. Thats me. M

Sounds like you found a gem, if only more Dr. were so inclined to learn about issues instead of just passing on. I have a friend that has had to have a hysterectomy for some kind of cyst on her overies and liver problems. She hadn't had an MRI or Cat scan for years; just recently she had one, made them take one because she wants to have an RnY but can't until she takes care of this other stuff, they found three masses that shouldn't be there. They found a cyst on her adrenal gland, one that looks like a uterus, with a 3-4 cm mass inside the "uterus" mass and one near her liver, I think. Anyway, thay have recomended that her to the Mayo clinic. If they had actually done the test, taken the scans and done all of these things, she might have already been able to have the RnY. She is only 26 and is devastated that she will never have babies.
