Default So mad!!

I'm just irritated tonight. I tried making baked beans, and they taste like poo. A full day of cooking beans wasted, and a bunch of groceries bought that I won't use again. I feel like there is nothing I can eat, and everything has to be fake. I hate protein shakes, and hate that I have to drink them all the time. Sorry to explode, but it's a bad day. I just want to get this nasty taste out of my mouth and eat a normal meal!! I'm done with it all tonight!

Alt Weight Loss Surgery Insurance
Yes, you can often get insurance cover for your Weight Loss Surgery.
Our own Craig "Big-T" Thompson has been there and done that, and he's written an e-book about it.

When I was in the puree phase, I found that the blender was my friend!! Anything good and tasty that can go round-n-round in it comes out with no texture, but all the taste is still there. I couldn't have done it if I'd had to stick with foods that are naturally soft.

Ditto kat, it seems these days i just dont know what to eat and so i dont....I know that way of thinking is bad but sometimes i just say ok f it bascially. And yes what i would normally eat i wont and cant. But yes rock it will get easier, eventually you will be able to add more foods in and get creative with them. When i was in your stage honestly i forget what i was eating but i know i was tired of it after awhile. Just go with the flow for now hun and things will smooth out

Yep, I agree, it will become easier and better. I went back into my diaries from the first month post op and my biggest thing was not being able to DRINK, not the blimmen sip sip sip, I was SO over that. Almost angry-ish about SIPPING. I want ed to SCULL the lot!!! even a gulp, ANYTHING at all that wasnt a smidgy sip. But, I got over it, as you will get over it. Vent away Man! We really do understand about wasted groceries and the tiredness of it all. Soon enough you will be eating bette and this will fade into the background.
Keep hacking away at it, it wont last forever

*HUGS*

I so know what you mean.
I have made some wonderful dinners, and then sit down to eat, and it doesn't even taste good. Damn! Piss me off!
Or better yet, was my hissy fit that I threw at the dinner table a few weeks ago. I had made a great roasted chicken, potatoes and broccoli. I used lots of spices etc... very TASTY!
Had my few bites and the pouch was FULL. Again, DAMN! Piss me off!
I loudly put my fork on my small size plate and pouted. My hubby was startled and asked what was wrong. Needless to say he laughed when I told him that I wanted to eat more and couldn't.
I know it gets better. Some days are great and some days are not.
Hang in there.

Red face feeling bad.....

[QUOTE=likearock;286087]I'm just irritated tonight. I tried making baked beans, and they taste like poo. QUOTE]

I feel bad because I gave you a bean recipe......

I know how you feel about the protein shakes too..... YUCK!!! I am actually taking a break from them..... 2 week liquid diet w/those things 3x/day then 2x/day when I came home from the hospital..... I need a break!

I hope things get better soon. I had one of these days over the weekend, the bad days suck, but the good days are so good.

My fiance makes fun of me sometimes to, i tell him im eating and he says uh oh your gonna be full in 2.5 bites lol. But again things do get better and you wont be on this phase very much longer, at least i dont think you will lol...sorry i forget your surgery date
