(Don't have a title for this one yet)

Mild winds blow gently
stirring memories long hidden
of little girls and skipping ropes
of dolls and playing house

I remember the times so fondly
of days where death was unkown
when mommy was always beside me
and i could climb upon daddy's knee

Summer skies for playing under
in sandbox's and on swings
winter days for snowmen
ice skating and hot chocolate

Funny how a gentle breeze
floating throudh the air
can stir memories of long ago
and make you wish you were still there.

Actually most of the poems except i think for one have been written at one time or another in the past. I can't just say, i'm gonna sit and write a poem about..... the sky, and sit and write. I also end up changing many of my poems when i read them later. I can always find a better word or line that makes it better, so i guess it's a work in progress all of the time. I write from my heart. Write what you know or feel. I bet you'll do great!
i have alot of poems that dwell on things from the past. I also have alot of poems that mention God or Jesus so i'm trying to be careful what i put in here. I don't want people to think i'm preaching. I guess i need to write some new ones now that i'm on another path that is gonna be rewarding but hard. Thanks for the replies, I love to hear what others think of my poetry, sorry if that's a little conceded but we have already established that i'm a dork. (hehehehelolhehehehe)
